Stained Glass Classes

Beginning Stained Glass   -   $65
Learn the techniques for creating stained glass art using the copper foil method.  We provide step-by-step instruction in
pattern preparation, glass selection, glass cutting, the copper foil process, soldering and finishing your piece.  Select your
project from a variety of patterns.  Course includes instruction and glass.  Tool rental, glass and supplies are included.
(Supply kit-$59)                         
Pick your pattern before class.  Class is 9 hours split into 3-three hour sessions.  We occasionally offer Intensive Weekend
classes.  Great for a weekend getaway or those that want to learn stained glass in a weekend!

Advanced Stained Glass    -   $75
The “Next Step” class is designed to advance your skills after you have made several stained glass foil pieces.  You will
choose your pattern and glass before class. We will teach you more advanced skills such as how to make a “Jig”, cutting
Zinc, where to use Re-Strip and Advanced Soldering Techniques.  Bring your Tools.  Supplies not included.  Homework is
required for this class.  Your  project will be completed at home.  Beginner Stained Glass Class Required.  Limit 6.  Meets
for 2 weeks.

Morton Portable Glass Shop   -   $35
Learn to use the Morton Portable Glass shop to cut precise repetitive geometric shapes.  This class shows you how to
easily and quickly make accurate cuts with very little waste.  Students will set up their own Portable Glass Shop while
learning to cut basic strips, squares and rectangles and then advance to triangles, diamonds and other shapes.  Complete
a quilt pattern in record time with pieces that fit together with no grinding.  Take your project home to foil and solder or
fuse.  Bring your Morton Portable Glass Shop, Mini-Surface, cutter and running pliers.  Tools may be purchased on the
day of class.  Students must have basic glass cutting experience.    One 2 hour session.

Advanced Glass Cutting    -    $40                                  Great for Fusers !!!
Learn to cut glass like a pro.  Layout techniques to minimize glass use are discussed, as well as tips to make difficult cuts
easier.  Learn to quickly cut circles and strips.  Hands-on demonstrations of the Taurus and Gryphon Ring Saws and the
Morton Portable Glass Shop.  Bring your cutter and running and breaking pliers.  Glass will be provided.    One 2 Hour
session

Stained Glass Twinkles/Snowflakes   -   $40
Back by popular demand !!!   Multi-faceted bevels create a beautiful home accent.  This hands on class requires no glass
cutting skills.  We will show you how to foil your bevels and solder them together to create a dazzling Twinkle.  Pick a small
Twinkle kit.  Other kits are available to complete at home.  Course fee includes all tools and materials.Class is 1-two hour
session. Snowflakes are made Nov - Jan.

Stained Glass Night - $30         New!
We are starting something new based on requests from you!  One night a week 2 hours each night, we will hold Stained
Glass Night.  We will have a project each week for you to make.  Some projects will take several weeks others will take only
one week.  We will have an instructor available to assist  you with your project.  This class is designed to help build skills
and have fun.   Students will need to bring their own tools, supplies and glass. Unfinished projects will be taken home each
week.  Grinders and Morton Portable Glass Shop will be available for use during class.  Their will be discussion each week
on future projects so please bring your suggestions.  Buy a spot each week or buy 8 at once and get one FREE with our
punch cards. All skill levels are encouraged to attend.  You can view each weeks project on the "Calender."






Mosaic Classes

Mosaic Workshop   -   $40         New!
You asked for it....now you have it.  We provide the instructor and you choose what type of mosaic project you
want to make.  Price is different for each project.  Please let us know at least one week before scheduled
class of your project so that we can have the necessary supplies.  Class fee includes instruction and use of
our tools.  Supplies to be purchased.

Mosaic Mirror - $50
Make a beautiful mirror for your home or office.  These are easy to make and fun to do.  A great project for
everyone.  You will leave with a 12 x 12 mirror fully decorated to mount in your home.  You pick the colors and
pattern from choices we give you or come up with your own.   Projects will be grouted in class and require 24
hours to dry before they can be transported.  Fee includes all use of our tools and mirror. Glass to be
purchased.  Meets one time.

Mosaic Stepping Stone - $50
This three-hour class teaches the skills necessary to complete an eight-inch round patio stone. Topics of
instruction include pattern preparation, glass cutting, mold preparation, pouring cement and cleanup of the
finished stone. A selection of patterns and tools will be provided for each student. A quick-drying cement is
used, so projects may be taken home at the end of the class or picked up the next day.  Class Fee includes
instruction and use of our tools.  Glass to be purchased. Bring 7 ¾ diameter pattern with you.  Meets one time.

Fundamentals of Fusing   -   $75
Learn the basics of glass fusing and make two 4" square fused glass tiles. This hands on class will introduce students to
basic fusing techniques, glass cutting, kiln operation and material selection.  Find out what "frit", "noodles", and
"stringers" are all about and use them to create little works of art that you can use as tiles, coasters or wall art.   This
class provides the basic skills to allow you to go on to create jewelry, bowls, trays, clocks and other fused glass pieces
and it is a prerequisite for most of our other fusing classes.   Bring a friend and experience the beauty and fun of fused
glass.  Course fee includes all tools.  Materials to be purchased before class.  Projects may be picked up the week after
class.  One 3 hour session.

Fused Jewelry Basics   -   $65
This hands-on class builds on skills learned in the "fundamentals" class.  Techniques for making fused glass pendants
and earrings will be discussed.  Students will make several pendents and earing sets.  Design considerations for
mounting and hanging your pieces will be presented along with a display of different types of jewelry findings.   Course
fee included all materials.   One 2 1/2 hour session.

Dazzling Dichroic  Jewelry   -   $75
Come to this class and make some spectacular jewelry that everyone will be talking about.  Find out what you can do with
dichroic glass to make unique jewelry projects that truly dazzle.  Students will make several pendants and earring sets.  
Course fee includes all materials and firing.  One 2 1/2 hour session.

Fused Plates and Bowls   -   $75
Love fusing - this is the class you have been waiting for.  Students will have the opportunity to make a high quality piece
of art glass while learning about firing larger pieces and using larger kilns.  Your plate will go through two firings - one full
fuse and one slump.  Tools will be available for use but, students must bring a round mold 11" in diameter or less or
square mold 8" or less and their glass.  One 3 hour session.

Fused Stringer Plates   -    $45
Create a unique decorative plate or vase while learning a great new design technique.  Using only
spaghetti-like glass stringers, students will put their favorite color combinations into a piece of glass art.  
All glass and the use of our molds is included in the course fee,  One 2 hours session.

Time to Make Fused Clocks   -   $60
It's about time we offered this class.  This is all about fun.  Students will make a fused clock face up to 8" x 16".  After the
face is fired clockworks and hands are added to complete the clock.  Glass drilling will be demonstrated.  The clockworks
and firing are included in the class.  Students may purchase glass before class.   Bring a friend and have a great time.    
One 2 hour session and one 1/2 hour follow-up session.

Beginning Bracelets   -   $75
Let us show you how to use your fusing skills to make a beautiful linked bracelet.  If you are also a Beader you will be
amazed at the new opportunities for designs this class will open up for you.  Class fee includes instruction and use of our
bracelet forms.    One 2 hour session and one 1/2 hour follow-up session.

Fusing Night  -   $30
Let's get together and fuse!  We will demonstrate a new topic each week, and you will have free time to work on anything
you want, ask questions, and get inspired!  We will be taking suggestions and schedule the demo topics accordingly  So,
speak up; let us know what you would like.  This is a great opportunity for you to get together with fun, creative people
and work on something you enjoy.  We will supply the tools and use of the saws and grinders, and a 10" x 10" space in
our kilns, which we will fire at the end of the night.  Prerequisite:  Fundamentals of Fusing.  Buy one night or buy 8 and
get one FREE with our Fusing Punch Card.  Ask for details.

Fooling with Frit  -  $40 - NEW
Learn the many uses for "frit" (ground glass).  Highlighting, painting, texturing, molding and filling,  Bring several 4"
squares of your favorite glass and a sheet of clear glass.  Frit and Firing provided.  Class is 1-two hour session.

Dam It  -  $40 - NEW
This is the class where you will learn how to break the "1/4" rule.  We will show you how to make and use a variety of
"dams" to create multi layered pieces and contoured designs.   You will using up to 6 layers of glass in your piece.  Bring
several sheets of clear fusible glass.  We will make two thick 4" x 4" pieces .Dam materials and firing provided.  Class is
1-two hour session.

Fresh Fish - $45 - NEW   
This class was taught in the "Fusing Night" program and we received an overwhelming response that we are making it a
class.  Use small bits of dichroic, frit, nuggets, confetti and more to decorate your fish.  The brighter the better.  We will
fuse a fish 10" for class.  Students bring tools and glass.  Some frit and confetti will be available.  We will make one fish.
Class is 1- two hour session.
Please note  -  Classes tend to fill up quickly.  If you see something you like, sign up as soon as possible.
Unless otherwise noted, there is a maximum of six (6) students per class and a minimum of three (3)
students.  Classes are on a first-come-first-served basis and require pre-registration to reserve your space.
For safety reasons please wear closed toe shoes only - no sandals or flip-flops.
